Remote Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a global leader in industrial automation and electrical systems, is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer . This role is entirely remote, focusing on the planning, execution, and documentation of commissioning activities for electrical control systems and equipment. You will leverage your expertise to guide and support on-site commissioning teams, conduct remote diagnostics, and ensure that systems are installed, tested, and operational according to specifications. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and develop electrical commissioning strategies and procedures.
• Provide remote technical expertise and guidance to on-site commissioning engineers and technicians.
• Perform remote diagnostics and troubleshooting of electrical control systems and PLCs.
• Review and approve commissioning test reports and documentation.
• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with safety standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams, including design engineers, project managers, and clients, to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct remote training sessions for site personnel on system operation and maintenance.
• Maintain clear and concise communication channels with all stakeholders.
• Assist in the development of commissioning documentation, including user manuals and handover packages.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for commissioning processes and tools.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience with industrial electrical systems, control panels, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and control logic.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues remotely.
• Exceptional communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Familiarity with relevant international electrical and safety standards.
• Experience with diverse industries (e.g., manufacturing, mining, power generation) is advantageous.
• Must be eligible to work remotely and possess a stable, high-speed internet connection.
