Remote Senior Electrical Engineer - Grid Modernization

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of smart grid technologies , including SCADA, AMI, and distribution automation.

• Develop strategies for integrating renewable energy sources and energy storage systems into the existing grid.

• Perform advanced power system studies , including transient stability and voltage stability analysis.

• Provide technical expertise and guidance on grid modernization projects to project teams and stakeholders.

• Develop technical specifications for new grid equipment and technologies.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers in the execution of grid modernization projects.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.

• 10+ years of progressive experience in the electric utility industry, with a focus on grid modernization.

• Extensive knowledge of power system analysis tools and software (e.g., PSS/E, EMTP-RV).

• Proven experience with smart grid technologies, microgrids, and distributed generation.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and virtual team management skills.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
