Remote Senior Exploration Geologist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Exploration Geologist to contribute to their global exploration efforts, operating entirely remotely with a focus on identifying new mineral prospects. While the role is remote, familiarity with the geological landscape of regions like Gauteng, South Africa , is advantageous. You will be instrumental in advancing the company's discovery pipeline through meticulous data analysis, geological interpretation, and the planning of exploration campaigns. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets to identify and prioritize exploration targets.
• Design and manage detailed exploration programs, including ground surveys, drilling, and sampling strategies.
• Conduct geological assessments of prospective land packages and generate exploration concepts.
• Prepare technical reports, summaries, and presentations for internal review and external partners.
• Collaborate closely with other geoscientists and project managers in a virtual environment.
• Stay abreast of the latest exploration technologies and methodologies in the mining industry.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Geology or Economic Geology.
• Minimum of 7 years of hands‑on experience in mineral exploration, preferably with experience in diverse geological settings.
• Expertise in geological mapping, interpretation of remote sensing data, and GIS applications.
• Proficiency in mineral systems analysis and exploration targeting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, suitable for a remote role.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team focused on mining exploration.
