Remote Senior Geologist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Remote Senior Geologist to join their exploration team. This fully remote position allows you to leverage your expertise in geological analysis and interpretation from anywhere. You will play a crucial role in identifying and evaluating potential hydrocarbon resources, contributing significantly to the company's exploration strategy. This role demands a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with a geographically dispersed team and driving geological insights for the Oil & Gas industry forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret geological and geophysical data to identify potential drilling targets.
• Develop and maintain geological models for exploration and appraisal prospects.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers and geophysicists on integrated subsurface evaluations.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and project teams.
• Stay abreast of new geological concepts, technologies, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related Earth Science field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in exploration geology, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proficiency in geological software such as Petrel, Kingdom Suite, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of seismic interpretation, well log analysis, and sequence stratigraphy.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with a proven ability to work independently and manage projects remotely.
