Remote Senior Geophysicist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Remote Senior Geophysicist to join their globally dispersed exploration team. This role focuses on the interpretation of seismic and geophysical data to identify and evaluate hydrocarbon potential. You will play a key part in subsurface characterization, contributing to exploration strategies and providing vital data for resource assessment within the Oil & Gas industry. Key Responsibilities

• Interpret seismic data (2D/3D) to identify geological structures, stratigraphic traps, and potential hydrocarbon accumulations.
• Integrate seismic data with other subsurface information, including well logs and core data.
• Perform velocity analysis, migration, and seismic attribute analysis.
• Conduct geophysical risk assessments and contribute to exploration prospect generation.
• Develop and maintain geophysical databases and ensure data quality control.
• Collaborate with geologists and reservoir engineers to build integrated subsurface models.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Geophysics, Geology, or a related geoscience discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in seismic interpretation and geophysical analysis within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proficiency in industry-standard seismic interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite).
• Strong understanding of seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation principles.
• Experience with quantitative seismic interpretation techniques is highly valued.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote collaboration.
