About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer for a fully remote position, focusing on project management and high-level technical consultation for projects across various locations, including potentially near Mahikeng . This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who can lead geotechnical investigations, analyze complex geological data, and provide expert advice on foundation design and ground improvement from anywhere. You will work closely with remote and on-site teams, utilizing advanced communication platforms to ensure the success of challenging geotechnical engineering endeavors, driving quality and innovation in ground engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geotechnical investigation programs, including planning, execution, and reporting.

• Provide expert technical direction on foundation design, slope stability, and earth retention systems.

• Oversee complex geotechnical analyses and modeling using specialized software.

• Manage project timelines, budgets, and client relationships remotely.

• Mentor and guide junior geotechnical engineers and support staff.

• Ensure compliance with international and local geotechnical engineering standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering.

• Over 12 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering, project management, and consulting.

• Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale geotechnical projects.

• Advanced proficiency in geotechnical software and analysis techniques.

• Exceptional remote communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) designation is highly desirable.
