About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a specialization in aerospace applications to join their globally distributed team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating complex mechanical systems and components for next-generation aircraft and space exploration technologies. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of critical aerospace components and systems from concept through production.
• Utilize advanced CAD/CAE tools (e.g., CATIA, ANSYS) for complex modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Perform detailed structural, thermal, and vibration analysis on aerospace hardware.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional, remote teams including systems engineers, materials scientists, and manufacturing specialists.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test plans.
• Conduct design reviews and present findings and recommendations to senior management and clients.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a significant portion dedicated to the aerospace industry .
• Expert proficiency in industry-standard aerospace CAD/CAE software .
• Deep understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Proven ability to work independently and manage complex design projects in a remote setting .
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a virtual environment.
