Remote Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their fully remote team. This role is critical for developing innovative mechanical solutions for a variety of exciting projects. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, analyzing, and testing complex mechanical systems, working independently and collaboratively with distributed teams across different time zones. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process for new products and system enhancements, from ideation through to manufacturing handover.
• Perform advanced engineering analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to optimize designs for performance and reliability.
• Develop detailed technical specifications, drawings, and manufacturing documentation using industry-standard CAD software.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional remote teams, including project managers, electrical engineers, and software developers, via virtual communication tools.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and support to ensure project success.
• Proactively identify potential design risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Over 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and engineering, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
• Expertise in advanced CAD modeling (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
• Proven experience working effectively in a remote or distributed team environment.
• Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes, materials science, and engineering principles.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
