Remote Senior Network Security Analyst

Our client, a leading telecommunications innovator, is seeking a highly skilled and vigilant Senior Network Security Analyst to join their fully remote cybersecurity team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for protecting our client's vast network infrastructure from a constantly evolving threat landscape. You will play a key part in threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and the implementation of robust security measures across all network layers. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and security logs for potential threats and anomalies using SIEM and other security tools.
• Investigate, analyze, and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across the network infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain security controls, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.
• Develop and update security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Provide security awareness training and guidance to internal teams.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
• Collaborate with network engineering and IT teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into all aspects of the network.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for incident response.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in network security analysis and incident response.
• Deep understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
• Hands‑on experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
• Proficiency in vulnerability scanning and penetration testing methodologies.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and investigative skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security issues.
• Experience working effectively in a remote team environment.
