Remote Senior Process Engineer - Minerals

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their global team on a fully remote basis, focusing on mineral processing and beneficiation. This role will involve providing expert technical guidance, optimizing existing processes, and developing innovative solutions for their diverse mining operations worldwide. You will analyze complex process data, conduct feasibility studies, and contribute to major capital projects, all from your remote work location. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of metallurgical principles and a proven ability to drive efficiency and yield improvements in the mining sector .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, optimization, and troubleshooting of mineral processing and beneficiation circuits (e.g., crushing, grinding, flotation, leaching).
• Conduct process simulations, mass and energy balances, and techno-economic evaluations for new projects and process upgrades.
• Develop and implement process control strategies to enhance recovery, grade, and operational stability.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to site-based engineers and operational teams globally.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, feasibility studies, and project proposals, contributing to strategic decision-making.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in process engineering within the mining and metals industry , with a strong focus on mineral processing.
• Expertise in advanced mineral processing techniques and associated equipment.
• Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., MetSIM, JKSimFloat, HSC Chemistry) and statistical analysis tools.
• Excellent project management and communication skills, essential for collaborating effectively in a remote , international setting.
