Remote Senior Process Engineer - Pharmaceutical

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Remote Senior Process Engineer specializing in the Pharmaceutical sector. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to contribute to critical process design and optimization projects from anywhere. You will be responsible for developing and validating new manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with stringent pharmaceutical industry standards (e.g., GMP). This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of bioprocesses or chemical synthesis for pharmaceuticals, and the ability to collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Lead process validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ documentation and execution.
• Conduct detailed process risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Troubleshoot complex process issues and implement robust solutions in a remote setting.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams across different time zones.
• Stay current with regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA) and industry best practices in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in process engineering within the pharmaceutical industry.
• In-depth knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and pharmaceutical validation principles.
• Proven experience with process modeling, simulation, and data analysis tools relevant to pharma.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills, with a self-starter attitude.
• Familiarity with sterile processing, API synthesis, or formulation development.
