About the Role Our client is seeking a highly experienced Remote Senior Process Engineer with expertise in specialty chemicals to join their global innovation team. You will work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative chemical solutions to market.

Key Responsibilities • Lead the process design and development for new specialty chemical products, from conceptualization through to pilot plant scale. • Optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve yield, reduce costs, enhance safety, and minimize environmental impact. • Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs), risk assessments, and develop safety protocols for new and existing processes. • Perform detailed process simulations, mass and energy balances, and P&ID development. • Collaborate virtually with R&D, manufacturing, and project management teams to ensure successful technology transfer and implementation. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff involved in process development and scale-up activities.

Requirements • Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering . • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in process engineering, specifically within the specialty chemicals industry . • Proven track record in designing and scaling up complex chemical synthesis and purification processes. • Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, Unisim) and advanced data analysis techniques. • Experience with process safety management (PSM) and relevant regulatory requirements. • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and project management skills, with demonstrated success in remote team collaboration .
