Remote Senior Project Manager - Agile Transformations

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and facilitate agile transformations for their distributed teams. This is a fully remote position, empowering you to contribute from anywhere in South Africa. You will play a pivotal role in embedding agile principles and practices across various departments, driving efficiency and adaptability. This role is ideal for a proactive leader passionate about fostering agile cultures and delivering exceptional results in a virtual setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the adoption and implementation of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) across various teams and departments.
• Coach and mentor team members and stakeholders on agile principles, values, and practices.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify impediments to agile adoption and work with teams and leadership to remove them.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of agile transformations.
• Collaborate with senior management to align agile initiatives with strategic business goals.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management , with a significant focus on Agile methodologies and transformations.
• Proven experience in coaching and guiding teams through agile adoption and change management.
• Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and other agile frameworks.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, especially in a remote context.
• Experience with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Relevant certifications such as CSM, CSPO, PMP-ACP, or SAFe are highly desirable.
