Remote Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team, operating remotely from Cape Town . In this crucial role, you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to construction projects, from initial calculations to final figures, ensuring that projects remain within budget while maintaining the highest standards. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide expert advice on procurement, contracts, and financial viability. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, tender, and deliver an array of construction contracts .
• Analyse and manage project costs, including feasibility studies, estimates, and valuations.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve best value.
• Advise on procurement strategies and manage the tendering process effectively.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare regular cost reports for project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Hold a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of contract administration , cost control, and procurement methods.
• Proficiency in using cost management software and standard industry measurement techniques.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, with a strong commercial acumen.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects remotely and deliver results under deadline pressure.
