Remote Senior Renewable Energy Project Developer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Renewable Energy Project Developer to join their dynamic, fully remote team. In this crucial role, you will identify, evaluate, and secure opportunities for new renewable energy projects , focusing on solar and wind energy across various geographies. You will manage the full project development lifecycle, from site acquisition and permitting to stakeholder engagement and securing power purchase agreements. Key Responsibilities

• Identify and assess potential sites for solar and wind farms , evaluating resource availability, grid connectivity, and permitting feasibility.

• Lead the negotiation and execution of land leases, option agreements, and other real estate contracts.

• Manage the permitting and interconnection processes with utilities and regulatory bodies.

• Develop relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, local communities, and government officials.

• Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to develop project economics and secure project financing.

• Negotiate and finalize Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with off-takers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in renewable energy project development .

• Demonstrated success in bringing renewable energy projects from origination to financial close.

• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory environments.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to manage complex projects and work effectively in a remote team setting .
