Remote Senior Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and visionary Remote Senior Security Architect to design and implement cutting-edge security solutions from anywhere, serving their expanding operations in Stellenbosch . This critical role demands a deep understanding of complex security systems, cloud environments, and threat mitigation strategies. You will be responsible for architecting secure networks, applications, and infrastructure, ensuring that security is embedded into every layer of the technology stack. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise-wide security architecture, standards, and guidelines.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of security technologies and solutions to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure security requirements are met during system design and deployment.
• Develop and maintain security blueprints for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship on security architecture best practices.
• Conduct security reviews of proposed solutions and architectures to identify and mitigate risks.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• More than 8 years of experience in designing and implementing complex security architectures.
• In-depth knowledge of network security, cryptography, identity and access management (IAM), and application security.
• Extensive experience with cloud security architecture and best practices in major cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and security control design.
• CISSP, CISM, or other advanced security architecture certifications are essential.
