Remote Senior Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking Senior Security Architect to join their globally distributed team, working remotely to define and implement their comprehensive security architecture. This role is critical for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of security strategies that protect the organization's diverse technological landscape. You will be instrumental in establishing security standards, evaluating new technologies, and ensuring that security is integrated into all aspects of IT infrastructure and application development, regardless of geographical location. Key Responsibilities

• Design and document enterprise-wide security architecture, policies, and standards.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of security technologies and platforms.
• Provide strategic guidance on cloud security, network security, data protection, and application security.
• Develop and maintain security roadmaps to address evolving threats and business requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to embed security into the development lifecycle.
• Conduct security architecture reviews and risk assessments for new initiatives and systems.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing complex security architectures in distributed environments.
• Deep expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), network security principles, threat modeling, and zero trust architecture.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into secure technical solutions.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of working effectively with remote teams.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or TOGAF are highly desirable.
