Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and robust backend services and APIs using modern programming languages.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to enhance code quality.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software systems, ensuring optimal performance and stability.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technology selection for new projects and features in our Pretoria -supported operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development , with a strong focus on backend systems.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Go.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), caching mechanisms, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
