About the Role Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join their fully remote engineering team, supporting their operations in Kimberley and globally.

Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, high-performance applications using modern programming languages and frameworks. • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions. • Contribute to architectural design discussions and drive best practices in software development. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, and participate actively in code reviews. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments. • Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and technical leadership.

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. • 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend systems and APIs. • Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C#) and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Deep understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines. • Experience in the fintech or financial services industry is highly desirable. • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for technology.
