About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Structural Engineer to join their national, fully remote team, supporting a broad portfolio of projects including those in the Northern Cape . This critical role involves providing expert structural design and analysis for a wide array of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, resilience, and code compliance from a distance. You will leverage advanced engineering software and your extensive experience to deliver high-quality structural solutions remotely, collaborating with project managers, architects, and site engineers across the country. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis for diverse projects, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure elements.
• Develop comprehensive structural calculations, drawings, and specifications in compliance with relevant South African National Standards (SANS).
• Provide expert technical consultation and support to project teams, clients, and site personnel remotely.
• Conduct peer reviews of structural designs and ensure quality assurance throughout the design process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve structural issues encountered during the design or construction phases.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in structural engineering principles, materials, and software, applying them to projects throughout South Africa .

Requirements

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 9 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design and project leadership.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Advanced proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, RAM Structural System).
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex structural engineering tasks independently and delivering results remotely.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across various geographic locations, including supporting work in regions like Kimberley .
