Remote Senior Subsurface Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Remote Senior Subsurface Engineer to join their globally distributed team, supporting operations relevant to the East London region and beyond. This position is fully remote and focuses on the integrated analysis of geological, reservoir, and production data to optimize hydrocarbon recovery and drive exploration success. You will provide critical technical insights and collaborate with diverse teams across different time zones, leveraging advanced modeling and analytical techniques to unlock the full potential of our client's assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate geological, geophysical, and engineering data to develop comprehensive subsurface models.
• Optimize production strategies and identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
• Analyze well performance and troubleshoot operational challenges in a remote setting.
• Conduct economic evaluations and risk assessments for subsurface development projects.
• Collaborate effectively with geoscientists, production engineers, and management remotely.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or a related geoscience discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in subsurface engineering or integrated reservoir management, preferably in Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency in subsurface modeling software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, JewelSuite).
• Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid flow, and production engineering principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and remote communication skills.
