Remote Senior Telecom Network Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Senior Telecom Network Architect to join their globally distributed team in a fully remote capacity. This role is central to defining the future direction of our client's telecommunications infrastructure. You will be responsible for the high-level design, strategy, and technical roadmap for complex network solutions that support advanced communication services. The ideal candidate is a thought leader in the field, capable of translating business requirements into scalable, resilient, and secure network architectures, and adept at leading technical discussions across various stakeholder groups from anywhere in the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the strategic architectural vision for the company's telecommunications network, encompassing both current and future state requirements.
• Design scalable, high-performance, and cost-effective network architectures for core, edge, and access layers.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of new network technologies, platforms, and vendors.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure architectural designs are feasible and aligned with business objectives.
• Create comprehensive architectural documentation, including blueprints, standards, and best practices.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to network engineering teams.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in telecommunications network design and architecture, with a significant portion focused on advanced technologies like 5G, SDN/NFV, and cloud-native networking.
• Extensive knowledge of IP networking, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, and transport technologies.
• Proven experience in designing large-scale, distributed network environments.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence technical and business decisions effectively in a remote setting.
