About the Role

Our client seeks an experienced Senior Urban Planner to join their fully remote team, focusing on developing sustainable and innovative urban environments. This position involves undertaking comprehensive research, analysis, and strategic planning for diverse urban development projects, regardless of geographical location. You will be crucial in shaping future cityscapes by advising on land use, zoning, transportation, and community development initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive urban plans, master plans, and policy recommendations.
  • Conduct spatial analysis, demographic research, and environmental impact assessments for proposed developments.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and developers, to gather input and build consensus.
  • Prepare detailed planning reports, maps, and presentations for regulatory approvals and public dissemination.
  • Advise on land use regulations, zoning ordinances, and development guidelines.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in urban planning and sustainable development.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Geography, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in urban planning, with a strong portfolio demonstrating complex project involvement.
  • Expertise in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS ), CAD tools, and data analysis software.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of planning legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
