Remote Site Reliability Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Remote Site Reliability Engineer to join their fully distributed team. You will work proactively to identify and resolve potential issues, automate operational tasks, and contribute to a culture of reliability and operational excellence, all from the comfort of your home office, potentially based anywhere. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and highly available infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts for deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
• Lead incident response efforts, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application reliability and deployment pipelines.
• Document infrastructure, processes, and troubleshooting guides for a distributed team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar DevOps/Infrastructure role.
• Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and system architecture.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
