Remote SMSF Accountant

The Opportunity

An established multidisciplinary professional services firm is seeking an SMSF Accountant to join its team. This opportunity suits an Intermediate to Manager-level candidate with SMSF experience looking to manage a diverse portfolio of clients and complex investment structures.

You’ll work across a range of funds, providing end-to-end SMSF compliance services while liaising with clients and advisers to ensure deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare BAS, financial statements and SMSF annual returns.
• Manage a portfolio of SMSF clients, including complex funds with significant asset values.
• Work across accumulation and pension-phase funds.
• Prepare accounts and compliance work for funds holding Australian and international shares, unlisted investments, commercial property and residential property.
• Liaise with clients and advisers to ensure timely completion of compliance obligations.

About You

• Previous experience in SMSF accounting and compliance.
• Experience using BGL360.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and advisers.
• Experience managing an SMSF portfolio, with exposure to complex funds depending on your level.
