About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Soil Scientist to join their team, offering expertise in soil health, analysis, and management to clients worldwide. This fully remote position requires a deep understanding of soil chemistry, physics, biology, and their interaction with plant life and the environment. You will conduct virtual soil assessments, provide detailed analytical reports, and recommend tailored strategies for soil improvement, conservation, and sustainable agricultural practices. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct remote analysis of soil data, including physical, chemical, and biological properties.
- Develop strategies for soil remediation, fertility management, and erosion control based on client data.
- Advise clients on best practices for sustainable soil management and nutrient cycling.
- Provide expertise on soil impacts related to agricultural production, land use, and environmental projects.
- Interpret laboratory results and translate them into practical, actionable recommendations for clients.
- Stay updated on the latest research and technologies in soil science and related fields.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Soil Science, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in soil science, with a strong analytical focus.
- Expertise in soil chemistry, physics, and biology, as well as soil testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in interpreting and presenting complex soil data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote client interaction.
- Experience with GIS and remote sensing tools for land analysis is a significant advantage.
