About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and analytical Solar Energy Analyst to join their expanding, remote-first team. This position focuses on evaluating the technical and economic feasibility of solar energy projects, conducting market research, and providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making. You will play a crucial role in identifying new opportunities and optimizing existing solar assets from anywhere in the world. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze solar resource data, site characteristics, and energy production potential for new and existing projects.
  • Perform detailed financial modeling and economic analysis of solar investments, including ROI and LCOE calculations.
  • Conduct market research on solar technology trends, policy changes, and competitive landscapes.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients, summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate remotely with engineering, finance, and business development teams to support project pipeline growth.
  • Develop and maintain databases of project performance data and market intelligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in solar energy analysis, project development, or a related role.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and using relevant software (e.g., Excel, PVsyst, SAM).
  • Excellent understanding of solar PV systems, energy markets, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
