Remote Solar Project Developer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an ambitious and experienced Remote Solar Project Developer to identify, evaluate, and advance solar energy projects across various markets. Working from a remote location, you will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from initial site identification and feasibility studies to securing permits and finalizing power purchase agreements. This role demands a proactive individual with a strong understanding of solar technology, project finance, and regulatory processes. You will play a key part in expanding our client's solar portfolio and contributing to the global transition to clean energy.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure suitable sites for utility-scale and distributed solar projects.
• Conduct detailed feasibility studies, including resource assessment, interconnection analysis, and preliminary design.
• Develop financial models and evaluate project economics to ensure profitability.
• Navigate and secure necessary permits, zoning approvals, and environmental clearances.
• Negotiate and finalize Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other project contracts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in solar project development, with a proven track record of successful project completion.
• Strong understanding of solar technology, grid interconnection, and energy policy.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects remotely and work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
