Remote Sourcing Specialist

Our client is looking for a strategic and adept Remote Sourcing Specialist to support their operations based out of Mossel Bay . This role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new suppliers, as well as managing existing supplier relationships to ensure the best quality and value for the company's needs. As a fully remote position, you will leverage digital tools and communication platforms to conduct research, negotiate deals, and oversee the procurement lifecycle. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation capabilities, and the ability to thrive in an independent, home-based work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough market research to identify and vet potential new suppliers globally.

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to secure competitive pricing and optimal terms.

• Negotiate contracts, service level agreements, and pricing with suppliers.

• Manage supplier performance, conduct regular reviews, and foster strong partnerships.

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and ethical sourcing standards.

• Collaborate with internal teams to understand material and service requirements.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement , preferably with remote work experience.

• Demonstrated success in negotiating complex contracts and achieving significant cost savings.

• In-depth knowledge of global supply markets and sourcing methodologies.

• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and market intelligence.

• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills suitable for remote collaboration.

• Relevant bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field; CIPS certification is a plus.
