About the Role

Our client, WhatJobs Direct , is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Remote Sourcing Specialist to join their dynamic global procurement team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and engaging with suppliers across international markets to secure high-quality goods and services at competitive prices. This role requires a deep understanding of global sourcing strategies, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to navigate complex international trade regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential suppliers globally.
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for various product and service categories.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with international suppliers to achieve optimal value.
• Manage and foster strong relationships with a diverse portfolio of global suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with international trade laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams located in different time zones.
• Monitor global market trends, geopolitical factors, and currency fluctuations impacting supply chains.
• Perform risk assessments on international suppliers and develop mitigation strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance global sourcing processes and efficiency.
• Prepare detailed reports on sourcing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in global sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing international supplier contracts.
• In-depth knowledge of international trade practices, logistics, and customs regulations.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using global sourcing platforms and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote setting.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
