Remote Subsea Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled Remote Subsea Systems Engineer to join their globally distributed engineering team, supporting operations relevant to Mossel Bay, Western Cape . In this fully remote position, you will be instrumental in the design, analysis, and integrity management of subsea production systems. This role requires a deep understanding of subsea equipment, fluid dynamics, and structural integrity, all managed through advanced digital collaboration tools. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the safe and efficient operation of subsea assets, contributing to the company's leading position in offshore Oil & Gas exploration and production. Key Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and specify subsea equipment , including christmas trees, manifolds, and control systems.
• Perform structural and fatigue analysis on subsea components and structures.
• Develop and manage strategies for the integrity and maintenance of subsea assets.
• Collaborate with fabrication, installation, and operational teams via digital platforms.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and provide technical support for subsea systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations for subsea operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Marine, or Offshore Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in subsea engineering , with a focus on system design and integrity.
• Proficiency in subsea equipment design, analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, Orca3D), and relevant industry standards (e.g., API, DNV).
• Strong understanding of subsea hydraulics, controls, and processing.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills for a remote work environment.
