About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Remote Supply Chain Specialist to join their dynamic operations team. This fully remote role involves managing and optimizing the company's supply chain processes, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods across various regions, including supporting operations near Randburg. You will be responsible for analyzing supply chain data, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with internal and external partners to implement strategic solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze end-to-end supply chain operations, identifying bottlenecks and recommending process improvements.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and reliable supply.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
- Monitor and report on key supply chain performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and sales teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution of supply chain activities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance supply chain efficiency and resilience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management or a similar role.
- Proven ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable strategies for improvement.
- Experience with supply chain planning software and ERP systems.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently in a remote setting.
