Remote Support Technician - IT Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Support Technician to manage and maintain their IT infrastructure from a remote location. This role is central to ensuring the seamless operation of all IT systems, networks, and software applications for the organization. While based remotely, you will provide essential technical support and troubleshooting for issues arising in locations such as Vereeniging and beyond. The ideal candidate is an expert in IT systems, possesses excellent diagnostic skills, and excels in communication within a virtual team environment. Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Monitor IT systems for performance, security vulnerabilities, and potential disruptions.
• Install, configure, and update software and operating systems remotely.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various IT platforms.
• Develop and maintain documentation for IT systems, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Respond to and resolve IT support tickets in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or similar role, with a strong focus on remote support.
• In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and network protocols.
• Proficiency with remote management tools and ticketing systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in a virtual environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for remote collaboration.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA) are highly advantageous.
