About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Remote Sustainable Agriculture Consultant to join their global advisory team. Based remotely, you will provide expert guidance to farms and agricultural organizations seeking to implement more sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. This role involves advising on soil health, water conservation, biodiversity enhancement, organic farming techniques, and reducing the environmental footprint of agricultural operations. You will work with a diverse range of clients across different regions, leveraging your expertise to foster a more resilient and eco-conscious agricultural sector. Key Responsibilities

• Assess current farming practices and identify opportunities for improvement in sustainability and environmental impact.
• Develop customized sustainable agriculture plans tailored to specific farm needs, goals, and local conditions.
• Advise clients on implementing practices such as organic farming, conservation tillage, crop rotation, and agroforestry.
• Provide recommendations on water management, energy efficiency, and waste reduction strategies in agricultural settings.
• Assist clients in navigating environmental regulations and seeking relevant certifications (e.g., organic, fair trade).
• Conduct research on emerging sustainable agricultural technologies and best practices.
• Deliver training and workshops remotely to clients and stakeholders on sustainable farming methods.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Sustainable Agriculture, Environmental Science, Agronomy, or a closely related field.
• Significant experience (5+ years) in sustainable agriculture, consultancy, or agricultural research.
• In-depth knowledge of ecological farming principles, soil science, water management, and biodiversity conservation.
• Experience with life cycle assessments or environmental impact analysis in agriculture is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
• Strong remote communication, presentation, and client management abilities.
