Remote Systems Installation Engineer

About the Role

Our client seeks a highly competent Remote Systems Installation Engineer to manage the deployment and configuration of advanced technical systems for clients, with all work conducted remotely. This role supports installations and configurations for projects originating from or impacting Centurion, Gauteng . You will be instrumental in guiding on-site teams through complex setup procedures, performing remote diagnostics, and ensuring seamless integration of new systems into client infrastructures. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with extensive experience in system installation, excellent remote communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide remote installation processes for sophisticated technical systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Perform remote configuration, network setup, and initial testing of newly installed equipment.
• Collaborate closely with on-site personnel via video conferencing and phone to troubleshoot installation challenges.
• Develop comprehensive installation plans, documentation, and best practice guides for remote deployment.
• Conduct remote system performance testing and validation post-installation.
• Identify and escal[??] technical issues to engineering or support teams for resolution, ensuring follow-through.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems installation, network engineering, or IT infrastructure deployment.
• Proven expertise in network configuration , server setup, and system integration .
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies and virtual environments.
• Exceptional remote communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage projects across distributed teams.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues in a remote setting.
