About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Remote Telecom Field Technician to join their fully remote team, supporting operations across various regions with a focus on serving our clients in Rustenburg and surrounding areas. This role requires an individual who is adept at performing installations, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment with minimal direct supervision. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our network infrastructure by executing tasks on-site as needed, while leveraging remote support and communication tools. This position offers the flexibility of remote work combined with essential on-the-ground responsibilities in your local operational zone.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installations, configurations, and troubleshooting of telecommunications hardware and software in customer locations.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and preventative repairs on network equipment.
• Respond to service tickets and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
• Communicate technical information clearly to customers and internal support teams.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company standards during all on-site operations.
• Utilize remote diagnostic tools and collaborate with network operations centers for advanced issue resolution.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in telecommunications or electronics preferred.
• Proven experience as a field technician or in a similar hands-on technical role.
• Solid understanding of telecommunications systems, networking principles, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for on-site visits.
