Remote Telecom Network Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary and highly experienced Remote Telecom Network Architect to design the future of our telecommunications infrastructure. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to shape our network strategy from anywhere. You will be responsible for developing high-level designs for our core network, ensuring scalability, resilience, and efficiency to meet future demands. This role requires a deep understanding of current and emerging telecom technologies, exceptional strategic thinking, and the ability to translate business objectives into robust technical blueprints, making a significant impact on our global connectivity capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and document scalable, resilient, and cost-effective telecommunications network architectures.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, standards, and solutions to enhance network capabilities.
• Lead the technical evaluation and selection of network equipment and software vendors.
• Develop strategic roadmaps for network evolution, including 5G, SDN, NFV, and cloud integration.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure designs are implementable and align with operational best practices.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to network engineering teams.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in telecommunications network design and architecture.
• Expert knowledge of IP networking, routing protocols, optical networks, and wireless technologies.
• Proven experience with network function virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN) .
• Demonstrated ability to architect complex, large-scale carrier-grade networks.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
