Remote Telecom Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage telecommunications systems, including VoIP, IP telephony, and related network infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new systems and technologies into the existing infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide timely resolutions to maintain service continuity.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and enhancements to our systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in telecommunications systems engineering.
• Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323), telephony signaling (SS7), and IP networking.
• Experience with network monitoring tools, diagnostic software, and performance analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation is highly advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively independently in a remote setting.
