About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Remote Fibre Deployment Specialist to join their growing team. This fully remote position involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing the deployment of fibre optic networks across various regions. You will be responsible for ensuring that all fibre deployment projects adhere to high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, while managing resources and timelines effectively. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in fibre optics and project coordination, who prefers to work independently and contribute to critical infrastructure development from a distance.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the end-to-end deployment of fibre optic networks, including site surveys, design, and installation oversight.
• Coordinate with field teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
• Ensure adherence to all fibre optic installation standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage project documentation, including reports, permits, and as-built drawings.
• Provide technical guidance and support to field technicians and project teams as needed.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fibre optic network deployment and project management.
• Thorough understanding of fibre optic technologies , splicing, testing, and termination techniques.
• Proven experience in managing projects remotely and coordinating field operations.
• Familiarity with GIS tools and network design software is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
