About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Remote Telecoms Network Operations Specialist to join their critical Network Operations Center (NOC) team. This role is fully remote, focusing on the proactive monitoring, management, and troubleshooting of their extensive telecommunications network. Key Responsibilities

• Perform 24/7 real-time monitoring of network infrastructure, systems, and services using advanced NOC tools.
• Respond promptly to network alarms and incidents, diagnosing issues and initiating corrective actions according to established procedures.
• Escalate critical issues to senior engineers or relevant teams, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing service disruption.
• Document all network events, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately in the incident management system.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of network operations processes and procedures.
• Perform routine system checks, health assessments, and basic configuration changes as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in network operations, NOC environments, or technical support within the telecoms industry.
• Familiarity with network monitoring platforms and tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Zabbix, Prometheus).
• Understanding of core networking concepts, TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and common telecom services.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience working in a remote team setting.
