About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Remote Telecoms Technician to join their fully remote operations team. This role is crucial for supporting and maintaining the company's telecommunications infrastructure from a distance, ensuring seamless connectivity for all users. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing remote configurations, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our network. Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support for network hardware and software issues related to telecommunications systems.
- Perform remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and resolution of connectivity and performance problems.
- Configure, install, and manage network devices and services according to established procedures.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues before they impact service.
- Document all technical issues, solutions, and configurations accurately in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and other IT personnel on network upgrades and maintenance projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Telecoms Technician or in a similar IT support role.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications principles, including VoIP, cellular networks, and data transmission.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting common network issues and using remote diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with network hardware such as routers, switches, and modems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting .
