About the Role

Our client, a dynamic cybersecurity firm, is seeking a highly analytical and motivated Remote Threat Intelligence Analyst to join their world-class team. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to work from any location within South Africa. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor various sources (open-source intelligence, dark web, security feeds) for threat intelligence.
• Analyze threat data to identify trends, patterns, and potential impacts on the organization.
• Develop detailed threat intelligence reports, including actor profiles, TTPs, and indicators of compromise (IOCs).
• Collaborate with security operations and incident response teams to provide actionable intelligence.
• Maintain and improve threat intelligence platforms and data collection mechanisms.
• Conduct research on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
• Develop hypotheses and test them using collected intelligence.
• Communicate threat intelligence findings to relevant stakeholders through various channels.
• Contribute to the development of proactive defense strategies based on intelligence gathered.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Intelligence Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in threat intelligence, cybersecurity analysis, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of the cyber threat landscape, including various threat actors and attack methodologies.
• Experience with threat intelligence platforms (TIPs), SIEM tools, and data analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in researching and analyzing information from diverse sources.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, crucial for remote collaboration.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data analysis is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
