Remote Transport Planner - Logistics Optimization

About the Role

In this role, you will leverage your expertise to design efficient transportation routes, manage carrier relationships, and ensure the cost-effective movement of goods, all from the convenience of your home office. You will analyze transportation data, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions that enhance delivery times and reduce operational costs. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize transportation routes and schedules for national and regional deliveries.
• Analyze freight data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve delivery performance.
• Manage relationships with third-party carriers, negotiating rates and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Utilize transport management systems (TMS) to plan, execute, and track shipments.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including warehousing and customer service, to coordinate logistics.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in logistics optimization .

Requirements

• Proven experience in transport planning , logistics management, or supply chain optimization.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis tools.
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and route planning software.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage complex projects in a remote work environment.
• A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
