Remote Transportation Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a sharp and analytical Transportation Analyst to join their operations team, operating fully remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing transportation data, identifying trends, and developing strategies to optimize cost, efficiency, and service levels. You will play a key part in improving our logistics network by providing data-driven insights and recommendations. This position requires a meticulous individual with strong quantitative skills and a deep understanding of transportation metrics and market dynamics, all managed from a remote work setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze transportation data, including costs, transit times, and carrier performance, to identify areas for improvement.

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation operations.

• Research and evaluate new transportation technologies and service providers.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement cost-saving initiatives and service enhancements.

• Model and forecast transportation costs and volumes to support strategic planning.

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices in transportation management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Transportation Analyst or in a similar analytical role within logistics.

• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and potentially BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and concisely to stakeholders.

• Experience working effectively in a remote , collaborative environment.
