About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned and strategic Remote Upstream Operations Manager to lead and optimize their offshore and onshore production activities. This senior leadership role, performed entirely remotely, will oversee all aspects of field operations, ensuring maximum production efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. You will manage teams across various geographical locations, leveraging technology to drive operational excellence and maintain high standards of performance within the oil and gas upstream sector .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic operational plans for upstream production assets, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day production operations, including well management, facility operations, and maintenance.
• Implement and enforce stringent health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across all operational sites.
• Manage budgets, control operational expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Lead and mentor remote operations teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor operational performance using key metrics and drive initiatives to enhance production and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical) or a related field.
• Extensive experience (10+ years) in upstream oil and gas operations , with a significant portion in leadership roles.
• Proven track record of managing remote teams and operations effectively.
• Strong understanding of production engineering, reservoir management, and asset integrity.
• Excellent strategic planning, decision-making, and financial management skills.
• Experience with digital transformation initiatives in operations and remote monitoring systems is essential.
