About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and self-driven Voice Network Engineer to join their engineering team in a fully remote capacity, supporting a distributed workforce and client base including those in East London. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and ongoing management of our robust voice communication systems, ensuring clear, reliable, and secure interactions. You will play a key part in optimizing our VoIP infrastructure, integrating new voice technologies, and providing advanced support for all voice-related services. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in VoIP protocols and a passion for delivering seamless communication solutions from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain VoIP systems, PBX, and related voice network infrastructure.
- Monitor voice network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability.
- Manage and configure SIP trunking, codecs, and other voice communication protocols.
- Implement security measures to protect voice networks from unauthorized access and threats.
- Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to integrate voice solutions with other network services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in voice network engineering and VoIP systems.
- Expert knowledge of SIP, H.323, RTP, and other voice protocols.
- Experience with unified communications platforms (e.g., Cisco Call Manager, Avaya, Asterisk).
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and remote troubleshooting methodologies.
