Remote Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Remote Warehouse Supervisor to oversee operational efficiency and team performance from Durban . This is a fully remote position where you will be responsible for guiding warehouse staff, ensuring smooth workflow, and implementing best practices in inventory management and order fulfillment. You will utilize digital platforms and communication tools to maintain oversight of warehouse activities, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement without being physically present on the floor. This role is critical for maintaining our client's high standards of operational excellence in a distributed workforce model.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide warehouse associates in daily tasks, including receiving, stocking, order picking, and shipping.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to ensure targets are met and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and warehouse procedures to ensure a secure and compliant working environment.
• Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and resolve discrepancies to maintain accuracy.
• Facilitate communication between warehouse staff and management, relaying information and addressing concerns effectively.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other digital tools to oversee operations and track progress remotely.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse supervision or a similar logistics leadership role.
• Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team effectively, even in a remote setting.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant digital tools.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to troubleshoot operational issues remotely.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a distributed team environment.
