Working closely with the Compass Group Site Management Team, the Safety Advisor plays a key role in providing specialist advice, direct support, and resources across health and safety.

The Position • FIFO opportunities across WA, typically on an 8:6 roster working 12-hour days (local Perth-based opportunities may also be available) • Provide specialist advice to support compliance with Compass Group’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Management System, including food safety • Conduct risk assessments and support the development and implementation of safe work procedures • Lead incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting, root cause analysis, and close-out of corrective actions • Support Return to Work processes and injury management activities • Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual audits in line with system and client requirements • Ensure compliance with all legislative, company, and client standards • Drive sustainable improvements in safety performance and promote a proactive safety culture across site teams The Person • Degree, Diploma, or minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety • ICAM investigation training and strong root cause analysis capability (preferred) • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Health, Safety, Environment, or a related discipline • Current driver’s licence (essential) • Previous site-based HSEQ experience in remote, mining, or resources environments highly regarded • Training and Assessment qualification (TAE) – desirable • Experience working across multiple stakeholders, with the ability to influence and engage operational teams • Strong communication skills with the ability to coach, advise, and drive behavioural change • Demonstrated experience in risk assessment and hazard management • Exposure to food safety or HACCP environments advantageous The Benefits As a Team Member with Compass Group, you’ll have access to the support, infrastructure, systems, and career pathways expected of a global organisation.

This position is responsible for implementing Compass Group’s Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) management systems at site level, while driving continuous improvement and fostering a strong culture of safety and operational excellence.
