About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Aviation Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join their team on a fully remote basis. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's adherence to all relevant aviation regulations and standards, both domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
• Interpret and advise on the impact of evolving aviation regulations and standards on company operations.
• Develop and implement regulatory compliance strategies and programs.
• Liaise effectively with aviation authorities (e.g., SACAA) and other regulatory bodies.
• Manage the submission of regulatory documentation, applications, and approvals.
• Conduct internal audits and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert guidance and training to internal teams on regulatory matters.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Aviation Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in aviation regulatory affairs or a closely related field.
• In-depth knowledge of South African civil aviation regulations (SACAR) and relevant international aviation standards (e.g., ICAO Annexes).
• Proven experience in managing regulatory submissions and interactions with aviation authorities.
• Excellent research, analytical, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
