About the Role Our client, a leading player in the global aviation industry, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Aviation Safety Manager to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement strategic safety management systems (SMS) tailored for remote operational oversight. • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across various aviation functions, utilizing virtual tools and reporting mechanisms. • Investigate safety incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions. • Foster a proactive safety culture through remote training, communication campaigns, and engagement initiatives. • Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international aviation safety regulations and standards. • Prepare and present detailed safety reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.

Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in aviation safety management or a related field. • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline. • Possession of relevant safety certifications (e.g., ICAO SMS, Certified Aviation Safety Professional). • Demonstrated expertise in risk management, safety auditing, and incident investigation techniques. • Strong understanding of South African civil aviation regulations and international standards. • Excellent remote communication , leadership, and analytical skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
